OUT OF PLACE, OUT OF TIME

Chapter 1 - Things Found in a Field

There is a moment when something feels slightly wrong, but still holds your attention.

I do not always know where ideas begin. I recognise when one is worth following.

Out of Place, Out of Time is an ongoing photographic series about people who don’t quite belong where or when they find themselves. It’s about those moments when you realise you’re not entirely in sync with the world around you.

The work plays with contrast, old and new, myth and everyday life, seriousness and humour, and is rooted in instinct, storytelling and play.

These images aren’t about recreating the past or making statements. They’re about curiosity, character, and following an idea far enough to see where it leads.

This series is ongoing and will continue to evolve across different locations and chapters.

Featuring Jamie Doyle and Sorcha Herlihy.
